Outcome 3: preproduction portfolio & individual log
Merit - requires:
1. detailed planning with nothing left to chance - all locations, actors, shots, health and safety, props, times and dates, equipment, script, rehearsals have been completed and evidenced
2. allows the shoot to happen within time scale/deadline
3. everything (locations, props, costume, actors, kit bookings) has been organised so the shooting process is SMOOTH without last minute stress
4. Effective personal management skills (you have taken responsibility for completed YOUR role towards the organisation of the shoot WITHOUT stopping/slowing down your team from getting the shoot organised.
5. For a Merit you must demonstrate YOU can SOMETIMES work independently WITHOUT being prompted.

Outcome 4: video production
Merit grade requires:
1. Variety of camera POSITIONS and SHOT TYPES appropriate to create meaning (close ups, mid shots, extreme close ups, shot reverse shot, point of view, shooting a sequence to tell the story etc...)
2. correct framing of shots controlled and steady camerawork (using Tripod, no zooms mid take, rule of thirds)
3. Evidence of including and considering Mise-en-scene effectively to appeal to audience and get message across:
a) Location
b) costume
c) props
d) actors/performance
